SPX gamma exposure by strike

Dealer gamma exposure (GEX) measures how much hedging pressure sits at each SPX strike. Positive net gamma tends to dampen movement as dealers hedge against the trend; negative gamma tends to amplify it. The table lists live call, put and net GEX for the strikes nearest spot.

Frequently asked

What does negative gamma mean for SPX?

It means dealer hedging runs with the move: selling into weakness and buying into strength, which usually widens realised range compared with a positive-gamma session.

Where is the SPX gamma flip?

The flip is the strike where cumulative net gamma changes sign. It moves through the session as positioning shifts; the desk tracks it live alongside the walls.

Are gamma levels the same as support and resistance?

No. They are hedging concentrations that often coincide with reaction levels, but they carry no obligation for price to stop there.
